About The Author
Hi! And Welcome to my website.
Hi, I'm Beth Prentice, a USA Today bestselling author of funny romantic mysteries. Whether my stories are set in a quirky small town, on a rundown Australian farm or somewhere between life and death, you'll always find humour, mystery, romance and characters who feel like friends by the final page.
What you'll find in all my books
- A funny romantic mystery
- Small towns full of secrets
- Slow-burn romance
- Quirky animals
- Strong friendships
- Hope, humour and heart
- Mysteries that keep the pages turning
But books are only half the story, so I wanted you to know the real me. I believe in the Universe, in energy, in signs, and in the people we lose who never really leave. I lost my husband Darren to brain cancer a couple of years ago, and stepping forward without his hugs is hard and scary — but he's still here, and I feel him every day.
I'm obsessed with crystals, can cry at a McDonald's ad, and own more animals than I should probably mention — but since you asked: two dogs, two very noisy Indian Ringnecks, a Parrotlet named Axel, five chickens, a duck named Dorothy, and a guinea pig named Herbie. I spend most of my days wishing for a quiet life and secretly loving the chaos.
When I'm not writing, you'll find me lost in a good book, passively watching documentaries, and scrolling Instagram dreaming of holidays I don't have time to take and perfect hair I'll never achieve.
And all of that living? It finds its way into each of my characters. They're warm and funny and filled with the messy, magnificent reality of life — which it turns out makes for fun fiction.
If you're here for the laughs and the mysteries, you're in exactly the right place. And I do love a good chat, so feel free to reach out anytime.
And if you're not sure where to start reading, every series has its own flavour. Whether they're set in a quirky small town, on an Australian farm or somewhere between life and death, they all share the same blend of humour, mystery and romance. Explore my series and find your next favourite.
